Incorporated in 1999 by Gerry Titus, Penny Caudill, and Pat Muyskensm the Community AIDS Action Group of South Central Indiana was founded to educate the community on HIV.
The Community AIDS Action Group works closely with Indiana University Health Bloomington Positive Link HIV Services to promote healthy living for those with HIV as well as prevention outreach. The two communities facilitate FREE HIV and other communicable disease testing to anyone that need it.
In 2004, the CAAG began hosting the Bloomington AIDS walks. This event started as mainly a student awareness event, but has grown to more of a community event and from raising a couple thousand dollars to 20-25k.
